In car restoration shows. My favorite parts are always the bodywork and fitting the interior and trim... What are your favorite bits to watch? Engine? Suspension? Interior?

haha i really like watching that show. I always think the grey hair man could separate from his mate and do everything by himself.

He doesnt need his mate. Its not so hard to buy and sell cars, as repairing them which requires knowledge.

I also like watching gas monkey.

Probably engine work. Mostly because that's what I tend to do the least when I repair cars so it seems more interesting.

Love both presenters. People always give Mike sh*t for "not doing anything" on the show, but in fact finding parts, cars, buyers all take tremendous amount of work off screen. Although I will say, the majority of my bodywork knowledge did in fact start with wheeler dealer.

I agree, Mike is unjustifiably has a bad rep. I have to admit, I didn't like him at first, he seemed sleazy somehow, but a few episodes later I really warmed up to him, now I love both of 'em.

I absolutely hated the part in earlier seasons where they go and find a "perfect conditioned" car to test drive in the middle of the show. Because frankly if i want to watch people driving cars I would go watch top gear or something.

Mike's really got that boyish charm and enthusiasm about cars, sometime it comes off cheeky but we've all been there and done that. Heck I once asked a guy if I can have a lap on the autox with his Lotus Elise - no, he did not let me.
